Do you take insurance?

Yes we do, however it is up to you to determine if you are covered. As many policies will only cover Psychologists, and I am not a Psychologist but Registered Professional Counsellor.

I can't afford therapy right now, can I still get support?

We understand that there are times we could use support, but lack the resources. We do offer a "sliding scale" that can help with this. Reach out to us to discuss further. We also offer group counselling which may be more accessible when resources are limited.

How long are sessions?

Sessions are 50-60minutes in length for individual sessions. Hypnotherapy sessions are 80-90 minutes to allow time to set intentions and enter and exit trance states. If you would like longer sessions please discuss this with your counsellor as they may be able to extend your time to 90 or 120 minutes.

Can you describe your approach?

As each person and their goals are different, the techniques used will differ. In general we like to start out by providing practical guidance, things we can do or change immediately to get you on the right path. After we build more repour and get you into a clearer space we will dive deeper into core beliefs so we can start to heal deeper wounds.

Will hypnotherapy work for me?

Hypnotherapy may not work for everyone, as its effectiveness can vary depending on the individual. Factors such as the person's willingness to engage in the process, their ability to relax and focus, and their responsiveness to suggestion can all influence the outcomes of hypnotherapy. However, we can build up your responsiveness and work towards being able to reach a deeper level.

Do you offer remote therapy?

We offer online therapy using zoom. We do not suggest counselling over the telephone as all aspects of body language are lost. We communicate through our posture and facial expressions and if we are unable to see these changes we can not affectively administrate our services. Therefore we only offer consultations over the phone and not during paid sessions.

Is direct billing available?

We offer direct billing via Telus Health eClaims. For a list of applicable insurance providers please click the link below. If your provider is not listed it is up to you to submit your claims directly. We can however help provide any information they may need.
